Furostanol saponins exist in the genus fenugreek saponin, by increasing the body produce luteinizing hormone dehydroepiandrosterone and to increase testosterone levels.
It has been used to treat sexual dysfunction, also used to stimulate muscle growth. Both effects are due to its increase in testosterone levels. The present study indicates that its main components - Furan steroid saponin (formerly diosgenin saponin) play a decisive role in the active ingredient. |
